The people who serve and protect us, come to our aid not only in medical emergencies but also damaging and life threatening crises. These include coordination and response of all our agencies, though fires and other emergencies as well. They go beyond the typical call of duty daily. They face danger each time they put on their uniform. They are special. So when the rigors and perils of the job inflict physical or psychological harm it takes highly specialized, focused treatments to strengthen them and aid them back to health. Furthermore, only people who have been there and walked in their boots can truly relate and understand the bodily trauma and emotional pain they endure.
